The village boasts the Fox Inn pub, a traditional village pub and restaurant (please note the pub is temporary closed). The Village Stores grocery, handy for things you have forgotten. Deans Garden Centre and Café for a treat as well as Forest Park Golf Club. The property is also close to the Vanguard Centre and Monks Cross Shopping Park.

The Studio is a contemporary, cosy, recently refurbished, stand-alone annexe. It is self-contained and has it's own private entrance. Ideal for a quiet getaway for couples who want the peace of this beautiful village but to have historic York only 4 miles away. The Studio is on the Route 66 cycle path, and you are minutes away from woodland and country walks of outstanding beauty. The village is well served with a bakery, bistro, village store, pub, beauty and hair salon and pharmacy.

The Anex at Cherry tree House (Dog friendly)

The anex, is a DOG FRIENDLY space and is part of a property built in the late 1700’s, a restored barn that is now attached to the main house, although perfectly separated for your privacy, with its own entrance. We are in the village of Murton approximately 1.5 miles from the university, 3 miles into York and has very good motorway links to many major city’s including Leeds and Manchester . The village has piglet farm and murton farm museum with its play area and cafe.

There is a third of a mile gravel track leading to the property if arriving by car. Direct access to Hagg Wood across private field. There is a sofa bed in the living room which can be used if needed for one adult or two small children.
