Hawthorn is a furnished 5m bell tent in our small Mendip glamping site, Slader’s Rest - steps from the Mendip Way, Strawberry Line and National Trust King’s Wood. At your pitch: king-size memory foam mattress (bedding is an optional add-on), double sofabed, fire pit/BBQ combo. Shared facilities: camping kitchen (with your own gas stove and cool box) hot shower and composting toilets. Dogs allowed (2 max, charge and rules apply). Please note: our eastern boundary runs alongside a main road.

Our working apothecary gardens are maintained lovingly by experts in medicinal and apothecary plants, soil science and garden tending.

The tent is furnished with home comforts including rocking chair and hammock, a small music system, books and games to keep you occupied. Outside : fire pit with seating, water tap, badminton net and a tyre swing.

You may just want to use it as a base to sleep whilst you explore our beautiful county of Devon with miles of Moorland and beaches within a 30-40 minute drive away. Braeburn Lodge

Each lodge sleeps 6 people and up to 2 dogs, in a King Bedroom, a Twin Bedroom and Double Cabin Bed. All the beds are made up with Egyptian cotton bed linen and cosy duvets. Each lodge has its own bathroom, complete with shower, flushing toilet, basin and heated towel rail so you don’t need to sacrifice on your creature comforts. Hot water is provided on tap, as well as your very own log burner to keep you toasty!
