Hegranes guesthouse on a farm

We would like to welcome you to come and stay in our lovely guesthouse at our farm in the heart of Skagafjordur. Here you can relax and enjoy your evening in our hot tub, take a walk to visit our calm and gentle horses, we also own a beautiful lake and we are "forest farmers" i.e. we plant 10.000 trees each year and we can highly recommend a stroll through our young forest to the lake. There will be sheep, chicken, cats and dogs around and next to the house there is a beautiful old church:)

A quiet place with a stunning view for small group

The house is located on a small farm in north Iceland. Guests have a lot of privacy in the house as it stands alone. You might see our horses and even sheep close to the house. Our dog and cat are friendly and might pay you a visit. You can go for short walks among horses, sheep and birds in a varied landscape. During the winter, there is a unique experience to sit in the hot tub and watch the northern lights. The house is a good place for home office due to high speed wi-fi and facilities.

Icelandhorsetours - Helluland

Our guesthouse is new build in 2016. There are three privat rooms and a shared kitchen and a shared bathroom, also there is the possibility to be together. At our farm we offer you to take a look at our animals and also we offer horse riding tours. Just 9km from our farm is the city Sauðárkrókur where you can do nice things and go for example to have dinner. Also there a lot of other possibilities what you can do in our area like visiting a natural hot pot or a turf house as much more :)

Lýtingsstaðir Cosy Cottage- peaceful countryside

Wooden cottage, perfect for a stay in a peaceful environment. Suits for couples and families with children. Kitchen and private facilities. The cottage has a bunkbed with double bed on the lower level and single on the upper level. A sofa sleeps 2 persons. A set of linen and towels is included in the price. Horseback riding available on the farm. THE OLD STABLE - a turf house exhibition on the farm, free access for our guests. Beautiful location, no light pollution, 20 km from road #1.

Cottage in a beautiful valley

This nice cottage is situated in the middle of a beautiful valley, with no neighbors disturbing you. You have a sea view to the north. A stream with waterfalls and rapids down through the valley. The hut is also a good base for skitouring and moutain hiking (many trails in the area) and horse riding. We offer horse riding for additonal fee. We can ride a calm tour with beginners or a bit faster with more experienced riders. Horse riding is mostly available from May till September.

Cozy house on the prairie

A private cozy guesthouse on a farm in Skagafjordur, North west Iceland. The perfect getaway for a nature loving couple or friends. The cabin has everything you need to relax. We built the house in 2022. One bedroom with big double bed and another with small double bed , fully equipped kitchen facilities (stove, oven, pots, plates, utensils and coffee maker) with a fridge and a private bathroom with a shower. Outside we have platform with chairs so you can enjoy the weather.

Charming place to go horseback riding

Farm stay with amazing opportunity for horse riding, 360 views of mountains, and hiking trails nearby. Access to guest house door is around the side of the house by the bushes, and around the corner. You are welcome to visit our paddock, pastures and stables to look at the horses and sheep; Feel free to give them hay/bread or just pet them. 1. Large bedroom with queen size bed + twin bed. 2. Bedroom with two single beds, very close to each other. 3. Comfortable sofa.

Litla-Grund - Cozy cottage

Litla-Grund er 25fm sumarhús í landi Syðstu-Grundar í Blönduhlíð, Skagafirði. Gistipláss fyrir 3 fullorðna og fylgja rúmföt. Eitt herbergi með þremur rúmstæðum og svefnsófi í alrými. The house is located in a quiet rural area surrounded by a panoramic view of the stunning Icelandic countryside and mountains. NEW Cozy cottage in beautiful countryside

Wooden summer house located in the countryside, just next to the main house on our farm. Surrounded by mountains in a quiet area. The house is suitable for 4 people. My horses are around the farm, you're more than welcome to say hello to them. I also have horse rental which I am offering from one hour up to a daytrip.

The "Old Farm House" is 111years old, very charming and romantic 28 sqm cottage, sleeps 4 people (five for families with 3 kids/youngsters). Double bed in living room, mattresses on a loft, kitchen, small bathroom with shower, free Wifi. Access to a hot tub and sauna, shared with guests of the cottages.
