In 2015 the house was completely renovated with an extension built using straw bales that keeps the house cool in the summer an warm in the winter. Explore a charming historic town on your doorstep or have a walk in the nearby hills. The coastline with beautiful beaches, cliffs and villages is only a short 15 kilometer drive to the South. Set high on the hill in the historic town of Silves, just down the road from the Gothic Cathedral & Castle, is The Townhouse, a peaceful sanctuary from which to explore the town and surrounding area. The house looks out over the terracotta rooftops of the town that clings to the hillside, its cobbled streets tumbling down to the river valley. Street Parking is available close tot he house. This unique place has a style all its own.
