It has a spring-fed natural pond (ideal for a bracing dip), a king size bed, plenty of hot water and reliable wifi. It's lovely up here this time of year with huge flocks of starlings, redwings and fieldfares, owls at night and deer coming to the woods' edge on early frosty mornings.

Alternatively, follow the byway as it makes its way towards the Stiperstones. The well maintained paths, bridleways and mountain bike trails offer fabulous opportunities for exploring.
