The Waddle is a traditional Shetland croft house, refurbished to offer a homely and comfortable stay for guests. Situated in a peaceful, quiet, remote location just over a mile from the nearby village of Walls, tucked in under the hill overlooking a sea-loch, it's a perfect place to enjoy Shetlands wildlife, scenery, peace and freedom. The Waddle is situated on an active croft. We have approximately 250 sheep with lambing in the spring, silage baling in the summer and feeding in the winter.

Sunsets, space and solitude in a converted stone built chapel. Renovated to a high standard in 2014, it provides all the home comforts you need in a beautiful location with views of Vidlin Loch. There is private parking at the house. The charming village of Vidlin has a service bus route nearby. In the centre of the village is an attractive marina within easy walking distance of the Chapel. The nearest pub in Brae is 10 miles away and it’s just 22 miles to the ferry port of Lerwick.

Bothy Be Wast

Really get away from it all in this unique secluded bothy tucked away on the west coast of the Whiteness peninsula on the shore of the beautiful Stromness Voe. Take a 5-10min stroll over the hill and down to the bothy nestled among reeds on the shore to feel a thousand miles from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Sleeps up to 4 persons with power supplied via 240V battery power pack. Drinking water will be supplied and shower/sink supply will be topped up as required.
