Rubislaw rooms have coffee & tea facilities, hair dryer, TV, wifi, gardens, deck & outdoor seating. Rooms have double beds, but an additional single bed or cot can be added on request. It borders Ratho Park Golf club (area of outstanding beauty), a walk from the heart of Ratho village, 8miles from Edinburgh centre. The large room is stylishly furnished (super king size bed), tv/wifi, and heated through ground source. The property has off-road parking with use of/ views into a beautiful courtyard. Breakfast is a cold self-served buffet in the 'Den'.

The Mill, formerly the sawmill for Borthwick Hall, is a charming property built in the 1800s. The conversion of the building was completed in 2003 and is now a wonderful family home. My husband, Steve, and I moved up to Scotland from London in December 2017 and absolutely love it up here. With lovely people and beautiful open spaces, it’s the perfect place for us to relax and raise our kids. We love having friends and family visit and look forward to offering our space to guests as well.

Star Inn, Nr. Rothbury, Harbottle, Northumberland

Our three en-suite guest bedrooms are finished to a high standard. They are suitable for up to two guests and can be configured with either twin beds or a King sized double bed. Each room has its own enclosed patio garden. The pub has been recently refurbished, serves excellent food and has a wide range of drinks. Harbottle is a pretty stone village in the Northumberland National Park near Rothbury. It’s a good base for cycling, walking, exploring Northumberland or simply relaxing.

We're 20 minutes' drive from Kielder and the observatory, and Newcastleton, in a very rural setting amongst fields, woods, hills and rivers. Dogs welcome.
