It is just a 15 minute walk downhill (or a 5 minute tuktuk ride) to the popular hipster/holistic village of San Marcos La Laguna. From our road entrance up to the house there are 150 steps to hike, well worth it for the incredible view!

Casa Serenidad - A Santa Cruz Lake Front Stay

Casa Serenidad is a lakefront cottage with lush gardens secluded enough to be alone with nature, but within 3-5 minutes away from Isla Verde, a hotel with a restaurant that offers delicious food, and it’s usually open to the public. The property is only accessible by boat but its approx. a 15 minute walk to the town of Santa Cruz, and very close to kayak and paddle board rentals. We are about a 10 minute boat ride to Panajachel.

Ten acres of beautiful gardens and a shared pool overlook the lake and volcanoes, creating a paradise for birdwatchers and nature lovers. There are 6 properties on the estate. Please note there are many steps from the dock to the property. Arrive by boat only, and bring a torch if arriving after dark.
