The Sabbatical House

Set in a coffee lot by a unique wetland area, this home is about twenty minutes away from Antigua. Still, it feels a world away. You'll spend peaceful days in the lush gardens and walk to the Mayan towns of San Antonio and Santa Catarina Barahona. Should you like, you can also get to know the kids who visit the "Caldo de Piedra" library next door. (Proceeds go to support it.) The 3rd floor terrace garden, pergola, and BBQ pit / Pizza Oven have stunning views of all 3 local volcanoes and cultivated hillsides. The 2nd floor "Big room" features a movie projector and is the most comfortable place to photograph the frequent volcanic eruptions. The master bedroom is spacious w/ private bath, and all bedrooms have built in closets with shelves & drawers. All are welcome here.
