Welcome to Hummingbird House, where you can rest and relax in your own container home in the country. We have designed two containers with your comfort in mind. Whether you want to relax inside the bedroom and listen to our record collection or chill out in the large outdoor tub surrounded by our lush landscaping we will make sure you have everything you need. If you want to wander to Round Top, Lockhart (Best BBQ in TX) Smithville (aka Hope Floats movie) COTA Race track, or a trip into Austin.

Ranch Stay w/horses/pigs/pond/7 ac of Trails

We only have one unit here, so come be our exclusive guests. Drive down our road through trees and cattle fields and stay on the edge of the woods in a pocket of privacy. Our property is full of mature elm and oak trees. We have 7 acres of park like trails cut and mowed throughout the property. We protect our wildlife habitats so wild turkey, wild hogs, whitetail deer, raccoons, armadillos, hummingbirds, Robins, egrets, painted buntings, and red tail and red shoulder hawks are on the property.

Quaint & Comfy Private Guestroom & Bath.

We have a cute guest room attached to our garage adjacent our back porch. It’s a small space but has all the essentials and is super comfy! It has a full size comfy bed, a comfy chair, dresser, desk, small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and 36" flat screen TV with Amazon Firestick. The bathroom has a small shower. We include lots of little extras to make your stay enjoyable. We live in the Historic area of downtown Bastrop. Our home was built in 1916 by my husband's great grandfather.

This is a working cattle ranch so you can take in sunsets as cattle graze in front of you. Cottages are newly built and fully furnished. Located 20 miles east of Austin and 2 miles from the LCRA McKinney Roughs Nature Park. Our 20 acres is a quiet spot conveniently close to the city. This is a one room air-conditioned & heated cabin with a twin & a double bed & a small kitchen. Happy Horse is Elegant Camping/Glamping: the darling outhouse and hot water shower (enclosed but open to the moon & stars) are only a few yards away from the porch. BBQ grill & picnic table a few feet from the porch. Hot water sink nearby.
