Summer is lusciously green; fall colors seen from our deck; the magic of winter. Tons of privacy, but minutes from town. 35 min to Killington or Sugarbush; snowshoe outside your door, and x-country nearby. Snow tires or chains needed from Dec.-March. Please note that we cannot help you if your car gets stuck en route to the house.

In a secluded, hand-crafted off the grid cabin, come and enjoy the elements with us at Drift Farmstead. A 3-minute walk leads you through gardens and pasture, to Ravenwood, a small, intimate cabin with everything you need. Be it an extended weekend tucked in seclusion, amongst the birds, river and trees, or find the comforts of a 37 acre small farm nestled in the mountains and settle in, working from afar. Top shelf skiing at Sugarbush is near, along with Vermont's finest grub and beer.

Howling Wolf Farm Yurt--A Magical Glamping Retreat

Our 88-acre farm spreads up a steep hillside above the village of Randolph, one mile away. The land is a mixture of open areas where we rotate our sheep flock daily, and wooded land with trails and old stone walls. You might hear the occasional car or truck on a nearby road, but more likely you'll hear our sheep baaing to one another or the cows across the valley trumpeting, or the abundance of birdsong. The energy here is calming and peaceful--we know you will love it as much as we do.

Wild turkeys often seen wandering across the front lawn. Wild deer and moose are in the woods. Ruby throated humming birds come to feed at the kitchen window.

Giant sledding hill is a favorite of children and adults alike. Trails on property for hiking, xc- skiing, and snowshoeing. 15 mins to Woodstock VT. 45 mins to Killington,Pico and Okemo. Great restaurants and shopping nearby. Hanover and Norwich VT 20 mins. Please note not handicapped accesible.

Red Acre Cottage is nestled on a scenic ridge in the idyllic town of Rochester, just east of the Green Mountains and right off of Vermont Scenic Byway Route 100, one of the state's prettiest roads. Red Acre Cottage is an easy drive to Killington/Pico, Sugarbush, Mad River Glen, Rikert Nordic Center/Blueberry Hill XC skiing, Suicide Six, and Stowe Mountain.

Good restaurant, cafe, small grocery store, in Rochester, 4 miles. Great location, beautiful views, lovely little house, totally private, romantic.

The large open-floor plan is perfect for families with school-age children. Families with infants and toddlers may not find our home as friendly, as the waterfall, loft and attached farm buildings may create some safety challenges.
