It is across from the Tiara Rado Golf Course, within walking distance to many hiking/mountain biking trails, the CO river, and is a short drive to Powderhorn Mtn Resort for skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing.

The cabin is located 2.2 miles from the Tabegauche Trailhead (biking trails), 2.8 miles from Colorado Mesa University and 2 miles from downtown GJ.
