My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). I do have a 50.00 pet fee per dog up to 2 dogs only. It is located just above the entrance to the Smoke Hole Canyon with great fishing, beautiful scenery along the paved country curvy road. You can drive through the canyon and come out on Rt 28 just below the Smoke Hole caverns and gift shop. Then continue to Seneca Rocks and hike the rocks or drive to Nelson Rocks for zip lining.

Mountain view retreat #1

Get comfortable with mountain views and fresh, clean air at 3,200' altitude, close to Canaan Valley/Blackwater Falls State Parks. Also, Dolly Sods, Seneca Rocks and Spruce Knob (highest point of WV). Lots of hiking/biking trails. Unique shopping in Davis and Thomas with a variety of restaurants. Fast food? An adventurous, scenic drive goes to Parsons, with the only McDonald's and traffic light in the county. Relax on the back deck to view the horse pasture and the small private airport.

Tree House

Wintertime readiness: When we have snow, 4-wheel or All-wheel drive will be best. Watch the weather. Un plug at Tree House. There is no Wi-Fi. We provide a TV w/ DVDs. There’s a cabin smart phone for your use if you do not have phone service. A 15 minute drive takes you to Thomas, WV for food and art and music (and Wi-Fi).Five more minutes and you are in Davis for Blackwater Falls State Park. A few more miles down the road find two alpine ski areas and White Grass Ski Touring Center.

Less than 10 min drive to everything: Timeberline ski resort, Canaan Valley ski resort, incredibly fun local XC ski area Whitegrass, art galleries, amazing food options, breweries, and even distilleries! There are two state parks to hike and explore within 10 mins, and a beautiful wildlife refuge only one mile away. Whatever outdoor recreation you enjoy, Tucker Co has the best places to explore.
