The house is a 2 bed 1 bath 1974 flat top A Frame that sits on two acres on the outskirts of Lusby, MD—and a low traffic hour(ish) drive from the DMV. A 1,000 square foot furnished basement apartment with private entrance, laundry room, full kitchen, one bedroom, bathroom, living room and plenty of closet space. Enjoy your morning coffee while sitting outside on the patio. The apartment is adjacent to our pool which guests are welcome to use. Apartment has full size bed, a rollaway twin size bed and a pack and play. Apartment is close to Stafford Hospital and VRE.

Old Town Fredericksburg, Fredericksburg Battlefield, Spotsylvania Towne Centre, Central Park, and Mary Washington University are minutes away. Lake Anna and King's Dominion are within a short drive. After a fun day, unwind in our peaceful retreat and immerse yourself in nature's tranquility.

The Riverbunk is located on the Rappahannock River in Colonial Beach, Virginia. The scenic River is home to Eagles, ospreys and great blue herons. The river offers the perfect kayaking experience and for boaters, a boat launch is within walking distance. Fishing, hunting, hiking and sightseeing are popular in this area. We are 420-friendly where smoking is allowed outside. The rural area is perfect for quiet downtime and fun activities.

The rural charm of St. Mary’s County is among Maryland’s best kept secrets -- 90 minutes but a world away from Washington DC (with no Bay Bridge traffic!). We are near historic Leonardtown, boasting one of Maryland’s few remaining town squares (we affectionately call it “Mayberry”).
