We have an array of things to do with local cafes, fishing club, kayaking, paddle boarding, golf and tennis clubs, and great walks all on our doorstep. Want to do a day trip to the Wairarapa region we can help. The apartment is totally self contained and has its own private access. It also enjoys its own deck, luxury bathroom and kitchen. A king sized bed is the icing on the cake. We can provide meals as required. We can help you with any travel planning throughout New Zealand - and arrange your itinerary. We can take you on day trips to our local wine region if desired and drop off and pick you up from the central city of tequired. Nothing is too much trouble. If you would like a picnic packed we can do that too. Set in a modest seaside village outside of Wellington, the property is a short walk or drive away from a number of cafes, pubs, and acclaimed fish and chips spots. The beach is just steps away. We are a 25 minute train ride to central Wellington or the kapiti coast. We have kayaks, bikes, fishing gear, paddle board available.

Surrounded by some of New Zealand’s most scenic picnic spots, boat sheds, beach sunsets, walking and biking trails. So close to: Paremata cafes and shops (5 min walk or 2 min drive) Ngatitoa Domain, Mana train station (10min walk or 3 min drive) Plimmerton Beach, cafes and restaurants (15 min walk or 5 min drive) Walk to the Cambourne walkway around the beautiful Pauhatahanui inlet.

Mount Welcome Shearers Cottage

This is a romantic little cottage with a lovely ensuite and kitchenette. Enjoy a comfy Queen sized bed and cotton linens. The cottage has its own garden next to the homestead. Just moments from the l Escarpment track and the train station making it very easy to get into Wellington cbd (35mins). Our neighbours are developing the land so we are expecting noise this coming summer during the daytime but its sporadic, hence the lower than usual rates. If your dates are unavailable please ask.

Four bed, hill top retreat with amazing views

Relax with the family or friends and enjoy stunning views out to Kapiti Island. The escarpment track starts minutes from our home. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, large, open-plan kitchen/lounge/dining. Lovely outdoor garden and outdoor bath surrounded by native flax with views out to Kapiti Island and the ocean! Watch the full moon rising behind the hills. Situated in a semi-rural area, yet only 10 mins walk from Pukerua Bay station and 15 to beach. Ideal for groups but not parties.

Sweet Karehana | Self-contained Unit

Our two bedroom unit is totally self-contained. It adjoins our home but has its own entranceway and is quite private. You will have access to the whole unit – two bedrooms, lounge room, kitchen and bathroom. There are also three private deck areas for your use. It's five minutes walk from the beach, ideal for a beach holiday and great for a family (can host up to six people). Enjoy the stroll to Plimmerton Village and the vibe of the cafes. Handy to train.

Escarpment Domes (Peak dome)

We limit availability on Airbnb Set just above the epic escarpment track, the views are truly magical. This is a pilot project to test the feasibility of accommodation to fund biodiversity projects. By collaborating with artists we’re building an evolving arts programme, that responds to the site and will evolve over time. The carpark is 1400m from the site and 4WD van transfers are available between 2-5pm for check in and between 9-10am for check out.

Oak Lee – tranquility 23km from the city. Elegant and spacious self-contained studio apartment with its own entrance downstairs from the main house. Breakfast is not included in the booking. There are cafes, restaurants and shops nearby. The kitchenette has a fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave. Beaches and pleasant walking and cycling tracks close by. Paremata station is a 20 minute walk away.

Golden Gate Get-away... Right by the water!

Golden Gate Getaway is a cosy self contained apartment with a private entrance. It has a cosy master bedroom, a fully functioning kitchen with basic supplies & tea/coffee, a simplistic bathroom/laundry area and a brightly lit lounge room with TV, fast unlimited wifi & board games! We have set up a new work desk area too. There is close public transport to the city and access to water on both sides!

A two minute stroll to our fab surf beach with a great walking track at the south end. A short wander to the local sports clubs, takeaways, TBay Cafe, Beer Engine, 4Square and local RSA. 5 minutes by car to Pataka Art + Museum and Te Rauparaha Arena.
