The cabin was built by Denis Wilkens from reclaimed wood sourced from the original buildings, found timber and garnished by local artisan pieces. This cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway, cozy ski weekend, writers den or even yoga retreat. The property is surrounded by evergreens and has a grass lawn, charcoal bbq and a large fire circle. We are a 2 minute walk from the Mt Joy Amtrak train stop.

This room features beautiful encased book shelves to either side of the ornamental marbleized slate fireplace and a queen sleigh bed. A separate half bath with double vanity is en-suite and an in-room double whirlpool with twin showers can be enjoyed under chandelier light from the 11-foot ceiling. At the work table, there is both Ethernet and wireless internet connection, and of course a power strip to recharge your smart devices.

Paradise Amish Guesthouse

The Paradise Amish Guesthouse is located on a typical Amish family rural property in central Lancaster County. John & Sarah have 5 children aged 12 & up. There are horses & chickens, as well as a large vegetable garden out back. A tour of the property may be available if time allows (please ask if interested). There will be other opportunities for interaction depending on the length of your stay, time of year & the family schedule.
