Family Room/Traditional Guesthouse

A typical loft room in our guesthouse is great for families, where 4-5 people can sleep, in a double and two single beds and and an extra convertible sofa bed that is recommended for use by children. In these rooms, some of the beds are on a different level in a small attic which you reach by a staircase. It is really cozy and children love it....!! The price for these rooms is 70-90 euros depending on weather or not you would also like breakfast or not. All rooms have their private bathroom with toilet and in most of them there is a small Jacuzzi. As you enter the guesthouse, you feel the authentic Macedonian hospitality, the warm, home-inspired atmosphere; you see the people’s genuine smile. The classic but at the same time traditional aesthetic is around you wherever you look, with its sense of wood and stone. The sitting room, just like the sitting room back home, is designed to offer all the comforts and relaxation we so much need; it is meant for bringing us closer. The smell of freshly home-baked pies and desserts spreads out from the kitchen. At the patio, we enjoy breakfast and the evening tea or coffee. From the play room, we hear the children laughing, happy that they can enjoy their own separate space which has been specially designed with play equipment suitable for all ages. All rooms carefully decorated with details inspired by the flower scents and colors of the surrounding mountains. Some rooms are set with the romantic in mind, while others, designed in two levels with a stilted attic, are laid out for more family use. In all bathrooms a Jacuzzi is there to offer relaxation to the most active travelers, after having trekked on the mountain trails. …about the location and around Goumenissa, is centrally located at the ‘heart’ of Macedonia, Northwest of Thessalonica, right next to a plethora beautiful but ‘secret’ lands. Mount Paiko, dotted with traditional villages, green up to the summit, empties some of its numerous springs down to the central square of the traditional town, with the huge perennial plane trees. The surrounding landscape is of unique beauty. The successive rolling vineyard hills at the roots of Paiko create scenery difficult to describe in words. The guesthouse is right off the center of the town where you may find some very good tavernas and restaurants and also small kebab stores, crepes and pizza places. Public transport will drop you 200m off the guesthouse and there is an hourly bus service from Thessaloniki. We may organize, mountain walks, show you cycle routes and provide you with bicycles, show you around the local wineries, take you to waterfalls and lakes for swimming, all these for a small fee. It is much better though, if you have your own means of transport to cover bigger distances up in mount Paiko, although many of the attractions are on walking distance from the guesthouse. Autumn and Winter in Paiko offer to the voyagers a feast of colours. The aromas and flavors of local wine and raki (tsipouro) are tempting guests to taste them in any of the local wineries. The sound of the renowned ‘Goumenissa Brass Band’ (Chalkina of Goumenissa) reverberates and blends with the landscape. Spring and Summer in Paiko await to welcome the travelers under the shade of oaks, chestnut trees and planes, along the forest trails; by the brooks and numerous waterfalls. Ελάτε να απολαύσετε τα υπέροχα λουτρά Πόζαρ ,να δοκιμάσετε ντόπιες νοστιμιές και να εξερευνήσετε τις ομορφιές της Αλμωπίας. Ο ξενώνας μας φιλοξενεί μέχρι 4 άτομα και τα τετράποδα σας είναι ευπρόσδεκτα με χαρά. Αποτελείται από ένα υπνοδωμάτιο με δικό του μπάνιο, ένα δεύτερο δωμάτιο, ένα wc, ένα σαλόνι με ενεργειακό τζάκι και μια κουζίνα πλήρως εξοπλισμένη.
