Enjoy summer days or wintry splendor. We are located in a rustic area of northwest Michigan, 15 miles north of Harbor Springs, within 2 miles of the Tunnel of Trees. We are conveniently located for nature preserves, hiking trails, beautiful beaches, ski slopes, and Mackinaw Island. Our home is attached to the guest suite but guests access their suite via a secured private entrance. Our equipped kitchen has a pantry, fresh farm eggs, butter, a home-baked item, ground coffee, and teas.

The Lake Haus

Welcome to The Lake Haus! The Lake Haus sits on 2 acres of secluded woods. It has 2,100+ sq ft with lake side windows and stunning views. Fully equipped kitchen, a great room with stone fireplace, dining area that seats 12 overlooking 200 ft of private lake front, sun/game room for indoor fun, and screened in porch. The home is in an ideal location on the E. side of the island to enjoy sunrises, appx 7 mi from town, golf course, tennis court, brewery and appx 5 mi from Iron Ore Bay.

Enjoy the coziness of a bygone era while staying in this 1940s quaint, storybook log cabin. The Hawks Nest has been lovingly restored to its original glory while having all the modern-day amenities woven through its clean 380 sq. ft. space. Retreat to the spacious covered porch to relax and view the acre-and-half property leading down to 100ft of 6Mile Lake frontage. Star gaze while relaxing in the comfortable, Amish-built gilding chairs around the spacious, paver fire pit area .

The Rhubarbary Ruins - with an outdoor sauna

We have just added an outdoor sauna to this fabulous cabin in the woods behind our house. Although there is only 1 proper bedroom there is a sleeping loft with a queen size bed and window overlooking the hardwood forest. We also have a pull-out couch. Guests have complete privacy and everything provided for a comfortable stay This is a cabin with peaceful relaxation in mind....no loud parties or anything of that nature. Come and enjoy northern Michigan's beauty in all seasons.

For some outdoor adventure, come ice fishing on Indian Lake or go snowmobiling! We’re also just two miles away from the Haywire Grade Trail, perfect for some thrilling off-road fun.
