A deliberately different, John Henderson designed, slightly quirky B & B in Bethlehem, Tauranga - situated next door too, and run by the owners of Somerset Cottage, a long established restaurant and cookschool. You are always welcome to join us at the restaurant on one of the nights we're open - Wednesday to Saturday ( bookings tend to be necessary), or we can bring a restaurant meal over to you in the Studio if you'd prefer to dine in private. You'll love this unique and romantic escape.

Come and enjoy the idyllic lifestyle that is Mount Maunganui. The Shaka Shack is a private studio and has all the latest mod cons. It is situated on our property but is an easy laid back and stylish space that you can come and go from at your leisure. We are a 3 minute stroll to the beach and a stones throw to Bayfair shopping centre, Baywave, Baypark/ASB Arena, Mount Main Street, Pilot Bay, restaurants, cafes and pubs.

Plenty of walkways to the main Papamoa beach and back. Situated in quiet street with no through traffic. Men's and ladies bikes available for use. We are not dog friendly as we have guests with allergies and we prefer to be fur-free.
