We're a Dutch couple whose lodge is nestled in the mountains of Madarao in Japan. Our lodge provides capacity for a max of 20 guests divided over 5 units. Our cozy, comfortable space makes for a great base to explore the mountains around the region. During winter, we offer private ski/snowboarding lessons, and side and backcountry guiding. We cater to guests during all other seasons too and offer fine dining experiences during your stay. We aim to create the perfect vacation experience for you!

Cozy alpine guesthouse cabins with in-house natural hotspring baths in the forested highlands of Japan's epic 3000m Nagano Alps, offering the closest possible accommodation to the "Roof of Japan" - the Alpine Route and Takase hiking treks. Hakuba ski resorts start 15 minutes away. We also have a compact music studio in the main lodge with guitars, bass, keyboard and electronic drum kit - suitable for a small group of musicians with space for 3 to 4 players and 6 to 8 intimate audience seats.

RedGateLodge 5 Rooms 5~10~15 Guests Directly slope

This is a private rental of five rooms with a stunning view of Mount Kosha. The facility is directly connected to the slopes of the Romance no Kami-sama Ski Resort. The basic rate covers up to 10 guests, with an additional fee of 8,000 yen per person per night for groups of 5 to 15 guests. Bedding options include beds or futons. For groups exceeding 10 guests, an additional guest count must be added. Please note that the basic rate remains unchanged even if the group is fewer than 10 guests.

Hakuba Ski in/Ski out Lodge!

Price per room for 1-2 guests is 24,000 yen (16 + rooms). Access to 4 chairlifts within 100 metres. Private licensed bar and billiards room within accommodation. Use of chalet including dining, laundry, kitchen. Chalet host will help you with organising equipment hire and restaurant suggestions. Ski in ski out to both Cortina and Norikura. Amazing location! This room is a Japanese Tatami room with western beds. The room is a south east facing room with great sunlight throughout the day. The beds can be set up as 2 x single beds or 1 King size bed. Extra futons can be added with up to 3 people able to stay comfortably. Extra costs per person for larger groups. Room includes: Buffet breakfast, Free wifi, 1 king or 2 single Beds plus extra futons if needed, sun room area, tissues, bedside table, bedside lamp, bath towels, heater.
