I'm an architect, and originally designed the studio as a workspace at the rear of our home for my photographer husband, Ian. We've recently converted it to a self-contained dwelling, so we can share what we love about the city. It's a walk up to a special view of Wellington

Nestled against the bush just above our home, our studio offers an amazing view of Wellington Harbour. Reaching it requires a brief uphill walk, but for those who enjoy the outdoors and don’t shy away from a little exercise, the reward is well worth it. The breathtaking views and cosy accommodation make the effort part of the experience. That said, if you prefer level access or are travelling with particularly heavy luggage, our studio may not be the best fit.

Self-contained Studio-Wadestown

Newly built downstairs self-contained studio unit in a century old Wadestown bungalow. A complimentary continental breakfast is provided. Unit has a separate entrance, and guests are welcome to share the deck and garden areas set amongst the bushclad hills. Centrally located being a 25-minute walk or less than 10-minute bus ride to the city and Sky Stadium. Bus stop at the gate. Approximately a 10-minute car ride to the ferry terminals. Free on street parking.
