The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

The Shelter

With wooden interior and carpeted floors with free standing fireplace, our accomodation is both spacious yet cosy. The master bedroom has a cabin feel to it with a comfy bed and views out onto farmland. The Loft is a spacious cosy area with low ceilings which the teenagers will love but tall people may not enjoy it as it's only about 1.75 cm at the highest point . large couches for watching netflix or relaxing on the deck. we are not set up for young children and think it's best suited to 8+ age

Surf Highway Coast House

Set in the midst of Taranaki's surf snow and fishing area.This sea front location (rocky foreshore) is the closest you will get to wake up to secluded surf, fishing or tramping or take a 5 min trip to world renowned locations. You’ll love my place because it is a brand new purpose built holiday beach pad. Views of Mount Taranaki out one side and the ocean on the other side in a secluded rural setting . Morning thru to afternoon sun with log burner and heat pump for the cold days. pets welcome

You’ll love our place because it is close to everything the village has to offer, yet quiet and secluded and only 10mins walk to the beach. There is 1 bedroom plus a pull out queen sofa bed in the lounge.please note this is small for 4 adults.

Either relaxing inside enjoying a coffee from the breville barista coffee machine or outside on the deck with a beverage enjoying the ocean view this brand new tastefully decorated house is sure to impress. If you love the sound of the ocean this is the place to be. Overlooking the coastal walkway and a five minute walk to the beach or into town why would you want to stay anywhere else. Please note this is not suitable for children under 5.

The Gingerbread House

Your space is located inside my Gingerbread House which is also home to "The Chocolate Lady". Sleep inside the Sweetest Bedroom Ever imagined or step into an Enchanted Forest Bedroom... The entrance is also the dining/lounge/library. The kitchenette has a jug, toaster, microwave, multicooker and electric frying pan. The bathroom and toilet are separate. The entrance is currently unfinished and this is reflected in the charge out rate!

The Black Yurt

MAX OCCUPANCY 2 Adults & 2 Children under 12 The Black Yurt is situated within Oakura. The surf beach, a number of cafes/restaurants, a pharmacy and a convenience store are within walking distance. Several hiking trails can be found nearby. Accessible via a private staircase, this yurt offers you a comfortable king-size bed, lounge area and kitchenette. The bath and shower are outdoors. A separate small building contains the toilet.
