Overlooking Walker Bay, the generous elevated deck allows for the best seaview and up close whale watching opportunities from August to November each year. There are two barbeque (braai ) areas, indoors and outdoors on the seaview deck. The Saltpan is fed only by rainfall and run-off from the mountains and in years when there has been low rainfall the pan often dries out.

The house is named for the original Khoisan word for this region, meaning ‘place of paradise.’ Enjoy spectacular sunsets and vistas all the way to Cape Point from the decks. Xairu is close to shark diving, Cape winelands and excellent hiking. This architectural gem is equipped with quality linens and complete kitchen. Xairu is good for couples and families.

Veranda House

A charming verandah equipped with dining and lounge furniture gives this house its name. The 3 bedroomed house contains a lounge, fully equipped kitchen, dining room and two full bathrooms, (one ensuite). One bedroom and bathroom is accessed from the covered Veranda and has easy access into the house through a door a few steps away. Out on the back stoep (porch) you’ll find your barbecue facilities under the Huilboerboon tree. The stoep area has an additional toilet and washbasin.
