One of two houses on the property (we live in the other) designed and built in 1920 as a summer residence for a local family. These 5.5 acres of park-like setting are situated on the serene Stillwater River. Tucked away, in the midst of the suburbs, surrounded by trees, gardens and the sound of birds, this gem of a place is a perfect home away from home.

Unique quirks about our little home: the ceiling coming down the steps is lower, and the bathroom is a jack-and-jill.

The Cozy Cabin at The Armstrong Homestead

Originally built in 1940, caretaker's cabin is a quaint one bedroom suite complete with a full bath, microwave, mini fridge and coffee. Off road parking and a secluded entry makes the cabin perfect for a romantic or working getaway. Located next to the Osborn Historic District in the heart of Fairborn, the Armstrong Homestead is an easy stroll to the downtown shops and restaurants. Xenia Dr provides direct access to the main highways, making most of Dayton reachable in 30 min or less.

South Park- The Purple Barney Guesthouse

Historic South Park Purple Barney guesthouse. Built in 1920 this shotgun cottage was rehabbed by me, a neighborhood activist, who stripped it down to the studs. What you'll find is a mix of historic, modern, and mid-century modern, with vaulted ceilings, skylights in both the bedroom and the spacious bathroom, and safe, snug, and quiet thanks to the insulation, new windows & doors. New Metal Roof in 2022! Your host is a Certified Service Disabled Vet.

Our Aviator Bungalow in Kettering, Ohio is close to Carillon Park and University of Dayton. You will feel right at home with the amenities we offer. Our place is great for couples, solo adventurers, travelling nurses, doctors, therapists and business travelers. A nice city park is right across the street with a tennis court and basketball court, shelter and grill. Five minutes to University of Dayton/Downtown Dayton.

The Surf Shack in South Park

Close to downtown, Miami Valley Hospital and University of Dayton. This surfers paradise offers a bright and cozy place to rest and relax. Close to coffee shops, local breweries, and in the summer time surfing. Dayton has standing waves you can surf and this adorable bungalow is an homage to the sport. Please enjoy your stay!
