An ideal ‘base camp’ as you explore the National Park and surrounding area. Light a fire and get lazy, chill out in the hottub, star-gaze at the incredible night skies, or just take in the majestic Pen y Fan as you plan (or recover from) your ascent.

La Cabane du Chiroulet

Cette cabane de berger se trouve dans la vallée sauvage de Lesponne, au pied du Pic du Midi de Bigorre et dans la réserve internationale de ciel étoilé. Authentique et intimiste, elle offre un cadre idéal pour se ressourcer. La cabane, reconstruite avec des techniques traditionnelles, comprend une chambre, une cuisine ouverte, un salon avec cheminée, une salle de bain et des WC séparés. La Cabane du Chevreuil vous accueille sur un site permacole de 4 ha pour un séjour confortable, dépaysant et instructif en pleine nature. En option le soir venu un plateau de 10 variétés de fromages fermiers vous sera servi dans la cabane ou dehors pour admirer le coucher de soleil accompagné de salade et de vin ainsi que de gourmands desserts maison .

We are situated on the Beara Peninsula, just up the road from Helen's Bar in Kilmackilogue. Our Shepherds Hut called The Bothy, overlooks the sea, and is three minutes walk to the beach. Enjoy nature at its best with views of Kenmare Bay and its surrounding mountains. It is a hikers paradise, lying just off 'The Beara Way' . Cyclists will also be in their element with The Healy Pass a few kilometres away. Kenmare is half an hour away with wonderful shops and restaurants.

Croft Farm Shepherd's Hut, Hardraw, Pennine Way

Spend a night in Hardraw, in the Yorkshire Dales. This wonderfully crafted shepherds hut is located on a working farm, with sheep, cattle, hens and pigs. Also, home to the local working sheepdog demonstration team. Located in a small village on the Pennine Way; the renowned Hardraw force, England's highest waterfall is a 5 minute stroll. The Green Dragon Inn is less than 5 minutes walk. The small market town of Hawes is a 20 minute walk, with plenty of shops and pubs.
