Upper Wharfedale can be explored from the doorstep with easy riverside walks or more strenuous hikes up into the mountains. The North Transept is part of our converted Victorian Gothic church. We've done all the conversion ourselves - the high ceilings and beautiful Gothic windows make it a unique space. It's in a small hamlet in a beautiful hidden valley surrounded by fields; there's lovely walking from the door and lots of local wildlife including roe and muntjac deer, pheasants, red kites and owls. It's easy to get to a wide range of local attractions like Lacock and Avebury and only half an hour to Bath.

Die ehemalige Dorfkirche liegt in einem 1.600 Quadratmeter großen Grundstück mitten im Dorf Erbshausen-Sulzwiesen. Von allen Seiten umschlossen ist es ein idealer Rückzugsort, ohne „aus der Welt zu sein“. In der Morgensonne vor der Sakristei, auf der Kirchenmauer am Nachmittag oder abends unter Obstbäumen. Im unteren Turmzimmer auf der Couch, im oberen Turmzimmer – dem ehemaligen Glockenraum – beim Beobachten der Vögel. Es findet sich immer ein nettes Plätzchen.
