~ the hunting huts~ a fresh take on the kiwi bach

The quintessential kiwi bach, simple and functional, set in complete privacy within our farm on a stunning site high above all else. Originally hunting huts, this unique holiday home is actually four separate buildings that are linked by a large outdoor deck. We replaced roofing, renewed the decking and renovated the insides to create a unique holiday home that has a special character all its own. The front two pods are the living spaces: kitchen/dining and lounge each with stacker doors which open up onto the central deck. The two rear pods are identical in configuration, each split into a double room and a bunk room with internal access to each other, perfect for one family per pod. The bathroom adjoins the lounge and has a shower over a bath, a toilet and a double vanity. The utility room has washer, dryer and laundry tub and a second toilet. The outdoor shower on the northern deck is a completely open showering experience! Both double bedrooms enjoy the unequalled lake views and you'll wake to see the sun rising over Mount Tarawera. A genuine Stoked Hot Tub sits under a pohutukawa on the edge of the front lawn and is a perfect way to relax and enjoy the vista by day and the famous starfilled lake Tarawera sky by night. The lake bach is ideally suited for... ROMANTIC ESCAPES Think fluffy white towels, crisp sheets on a plush super king bed, relaxing together with the stunning lake and mountain backdrop, long soaks in the luxurious Stoked hot tub and cheeky outdoor shower all set in complete privacy and solitude. Kick back and relax in this boutique, calm, stylish space. Enjoy the views over the town and lake. The space is contemporary, sunny and airy and situated in a quiet, secure neighbourhood. Each double bedroom has its own wardrobe and ensuite. The kitchen has everything you need. There is a washing machine and dryer. A double garage gives you a secure place to park car and bikes. Easy access to the Redwoods, Waipa mountain biking, walking trails, and central city. A lift is available on request.

The location is brilliant, overlooking Acacia Bay’s popular swimming and kayaking bay. Walk to the water in two minutes. The boat ramp is a short two min drive and we are seven minutes by car to Taupo township. The perfect spot for your next break. The views are amazing! A special Kiwi experience!

Welcome to Central Town Holiday Home. Centrally located it is an ideal base to explore the amazing city of Rotorua and the wonderful attractions the city has to offer. Suitable for couples or groups of up to nine people. Located close to the city center, within the quiet and friendly Glenholme area. Visitors to the house are supplied with a simple breakfast and premium tea & coffee. Parties and events are not allowed. Nightly rate is for first 2 guests. Each additional guest is $35/night.

Dreamy sunsets over Lake Taupo & Ruapehu

Our modern home is 15 minutes from Taupō yet feels like a private hideaway. Quiet and secluded, it looks out to Lake Taupō and Mount Ruapehu, with stunning sunsets. Ideal year-round, it has outdoor areas with BBQ, large windows and a double-sided fireplace. Whakaipo Bay is 5 minutes away for swimming or walking, with plenty of bush tracks nearby. Not suitable for children. Hairdryer, toiletries and iron not provided (sorry guests keep taking them and it’s to hard to constantly replace).

New concrete car park and another car port with shed, plenty of car parking for boat, van and trailers in front of the house.
