Tiny Canal House in Historic Gouda

Ons kleine grachtenpand ligt op een steenworp afstand van het historische stadhuis, het museum en de Sint-Janskerk, wereldberoemd om zijn glas-in-loodramen. Het aanzicht van het huis dateert uit eind 18e eeuw. En binnen zijn oudere elementen uit de beginperiode (1390) van het huis te zien. Gouda heeft een station en is centraal gelegen tussen Den Haag, Rotterdam, Leiden, Delft en Utrecht. De steden zijn aan te raden voor een dagtrip en goed te bereiken per trein. Ook bent u snel in Amsterdam.

Welcome to our “bakhuisje”: a national monument from +- 1700. The house is cozy and comfortable; living downstairs, bed is upstairs on the mezzanine. It has a cozy electric fireplace and a comfy couch. The bathroom has everything needed. Kitchenette (without cooking) with small fridge + coffee/tea and a beautiful view (vegetable garden, greenhouse, fruit trees). Of course WiFi and a workplace. Beautiful surroundings for walking/cycling and a small sandy beach in the river at 2 minutes walking.

Stijlvol ingericht met eetgedeelte, complete keuken en badkamer beneden en de woon/slaapkamer op de verdieping. Gelegen aan het mooiste grachtje van Gouda in het historisch stadscentrum nabij bezienswaardigheden, winkels, cafe's en restaurantjes. Zeer geschikt voor fietsers.

Vanuit deze ideaal gelegen accommodatie kun je allerlei activiteiten ondernemen. Het bruisende centrum van Gouda met het prachtige stadhuis op de Markt is 7 minuten lopen. Volop restaurants en café’s zijn om de hoek. De kaasmarkt is in de zomer op donderdagen. Er is ook een festivalterrein. Gouda is een rustig stadje, maar totale stilte zul je hier niet vinden. Het station met directe verbindingen naar Rotterdam, Den Haag, Utrecht én Amsterdam is 15 minuten lopen.

Hi! We are Lars and Erin and we live in beautiful Gouda. Erin is from the USA (Nebraska), and I grew up in Gouda. In 2019 we exchanged the city center for a beautiful house on the outskirts of Gouda. We chose this house because of the beautiful garden, but also because the garage gave us the opportunity to turn it into a cozy guesthouse for you to come and experience Gouda and the Netherlands! Studio at alpacafarm (AlpaCasa)

Our rebuild shed is a wonderful place to relax, partly due to alpacas Guus, Joop, Ted, Freek, Bloem and Saar and mini donkeys Bram and Smoky who will greet you on arrival. With Rotterdam and Gouda just around the corner, our casa is a wonderful base for a fun day out! Our casa has a living room, bathroom with shower/toilet and a sleeping loft. Please note there is no extensive cooking facilities.
