Renovated cottage just 500 ft from Copake Lake. This 2 BR 1 bath house is also close to hiking trails, waterfalls, apple picking, & a winery in the fall, and in winter, there’s skiing at Catamount (it’s just six miles away!) and a distillery nearby. A house for all seasons! Please note the cottage is 5 houses back and across a quiet road from the lake, and the dock is in the lake from the beginning of May to mid-September. But there is plenty to do up here during the rest of the year!

One overlooks the large living room with floor to ceiling windows and stone fireplace. The other overlooks the expansive property. It's definitely a tranquil place to rest and relax.

Enjoy a beautiful day on the lake swimming, fishing off the dock and kayaking. Grill dinner on your private deck and watch the stars come out in the evening Or enjoy all that the Berkshires have to offer, Jacob’s Pillow (15 min), Berkshire Theater (20 min), Tanglewood (30 min). There are plenty of nearby hiking trails and charming towns to explore.

Our incredible 4-bedroom home is situated on 2 beautiful secluded acres in picture perfect Monterey - the quintessential Berkshire County getaway, with modern kitchen, screened porch, 2 fireplaces a fabulous outdoor hot tub and a beautiful brook on the property. Enjoy hiking the Appalachian Trail in nearby Beartown State Forest or kayaking and swimming in the incomparable Lake Garfield. We are a quick ride to Ski Butternut, Catamount, Tanglewood, Lenox and Great Barrington.

Wildlife Lakeside Cottage; views/wildlife

Fully furnished and remodeled with new upgrades in Spring 2025 including a cathedral master bedroom suite with a full bath. Our private cottage is set on a peninsula at a cove where a trout stream enters the lake. Incredible amount of wildlife, especially all types of birds. The home has sunny views everywhere. Seasonal weeds do grow in the adjacent lake which can impact water activities, especially in the summer months. Sleeps 6. Ther are two full and one 1/2 baths.

Lake Garfield: New Summer Dates Open!

Lake Garfield Waterfront is a 3 Bedroom, 3.5 bath home that sleeps 8! There is a large dock, 2 paddle boards, a kayak and several life vests (kids and adult sizes). Inside the home you will find central AC, high speed internet, 4 TVs with Amazon Fire stick, washer/dryer, dishwasher, gas oven/range, a stone patio with fire pit, and much more! Only 1 small non shedding dog will be considered with a $150 pet fee. * Book 31 nights to avoid paying short term rental taxes!
