Historic Mintaro Post Office B&B

The Mintaro Post Office was purpose built by the Government in 1884 and is the most recent of Mintaro’s colonial buildings. This Government building passed to private contract in 1930 and remains a postal agency today. Stables by the Vines

In 1856, an English stonemason, Thompson Priest, began mining slate in Mintaro. At the same time, he built a home with stables at the rear of his property. Over the intervening years, the stables fell into a desperate state, however, recently, the Stable has returned to life through a sensitive restoration and refurbishment. Set on the edge of Reillys Winery, the Stable is a 100m walk through the vines to the cellar door and further 20 metres to the renowned Magpie Stump Hotel.
