Welcome to Ishpeming ("in the sky"), a beautiful year round private lakefront cottage on Manitoulin island- the largest freshwater island in the world. This relaxing four season vacation home sleeps 7 with 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, and an elevated west-facing patio offering spectacular sunset views of Lake Mindemoya. The open concept living dining room has a stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings and expansive windows that are perfect for preparing meals, cozying up and making lasting memories.

#GBJ-0003 Come stay on a beautiful acreage (65 acres) beside our stone house set on a hill overlooking a lake on one side and hills of maple, white pines and limestone cliffs on the other. The cozy 1 bedroom sleep cabin with a hot tub, its own bathroom and kitchenette accommodate our airbnb guests. We have gardens, apple trees, chickens, maple forest we tap, the lake for you to swim and play in with canoes and a sauna, as well as trails to walk in to enjoy nature and the abundant wildlife.

Available year round, enjoy a relaxing stay in this 4 bedroom, 2 story air conditioned cottage less than 200 feet from the largest beach on Manitoulin Island, in Providence Bay. Fully furnished - sleeps up to 8 with exclusive access of the entire cottage! We offer additional services for purchase including firewood, full linens for all beds, showering towels, bike & kayak rentals. Bedding fees are no more than $10/bed and $5/towel, but we often discount this based on the number of guests.

Enjoy the warmer waters of an in-land lake, beautiful sunsets, and great fishing. Come and enjoy beautiful Mantoulin Island and one of its most beautiful lakes, Lake Mindemoya. * mobility issues ? The cottage sits on a hill and will be challenging if land gradation changes are a challenge.

The Cedar Rose

Built in 2018, our off-grid cedar cabin is tucked away in a mixed woodland on beautiful Manitoulin Island. It is uniquely decorated with antiques, thrift store finds and handicrafts collected from our travels around the world as far as Africa, Japan, Costa Rica and Canada’s Arctic. Our space is an inviting space to unwind, unplug and wake up to the sounds of the birds after enjoying the stars on a clear night.
