Ishpeming Lakefront Cottage

Welcome to Ishpeming ("in the sky"), a beautiful year round private lakefront cottage on Manitoulin island- the largest freshwater island in the world. This relaxing four season vacation home sleeps 7 with 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, and an elevated west-facing patio offering spectacular sunset views of Lake Mindemoya. The open concept living dining room has a stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings and expansive windows that are perfect for preparing meals, cozying up and making lasting memories.

COUNTRY CABIN

This all repurposed bunkie is in a picturesque setting on Manitoulin island. It has a large deck to enjoy the day . 230sq ft living space inside. It offers a queen size bed for our guest to find comfort and rest , along with a futon ; this cabin has a wonderful rustic feel. The cabin is framed with a beautiful wood finish with select antiques as decorations. This humble cabin has solar lights, bar fridge, power bar to charge devices. The washroom is a compostable outhouse. We have fire wood.

Manitoulin Island Bunkie & Outdoor Living

The nature loving couple or single traveller will love this comfortable outdoor living, mini-camping (glamping!) experience (no running water or kitchen/camp cooking). Bunkie size 12' x 16' . Large attached patio for dining, napping, and watching sunsets! Centrally located. Popular attractions Bridal Veil Falls and Cup and Saucer hiking trails less than 15 min drive away. Approx 30 min drive from Chi cheemaun ferry service. A 20 min drive if arriving by Little Current swing bridge.

The cottage sits on a hill and will be challenging if land gradation changes are a challenge.

Welcome to this historical landmark overlooking beautiful Lake Manitou; named The Net Shed. In 1991 the original fisherman's Net Shed was moved from its original 1920’s home in South Baymouth to Tehkummah and then in the mid-1990’s to its current home.
