The Tropical Flower Lodge sits at the foothills of Mt Bartle Frere, surrounded by lush rainforest and vibrant tropical gardens. Our property is also a working flower farm, home to a wide variety of Heliconias and Gingers. The lodge is completely self‑sustaining. Fresh spring water flows though the property a gravity‑fed system, our on‑site waterfall generates clean hydroelectric power. Guests often tell us it feels like staying in a hidden, eco‑friendly sanctuary where nature does all the work.

You will be relaxed and comfortable in this spacious and restful space in the Kuranda Rainforest. To protect our environment we are a no smoking, no pets property (Accredited Service Animals excepted). We live in the rainforest, surrounded by trees. It is a humid environment, frequently over 80% humidty outside and that creeps inside. While we manage that as well as we can, you may feel it at times. We understand that you may find the humidity unacceptable so offer free cancellation for you.

Jum Rum Place, Kuranda QLD

Kuranda, home to the Indigenous Djabugay people is tucked away within an ancient Rainforest. Jum Rum Place is located only 1.6km from the Kuranda village, North Queensland backing onto Jum Rum Creek Conservation Park where there are numerous species of birds, Striped possums, Suger Gliders, Pademelons with abundance of butterflies including the Ulysses and Cairns Bird Wing. The beautiful Jum Rum Creek Walking Track is close by which takes you into the Kuranda Village, only a 15 minute walk.

Private hideaway with creek access

Located central to the many tourist attractions, this purpose built private tranquil location is perfect for unwinding or for use as a base to explore. Conveniently located 40 min. to Cairn’s airport, 10 min. to Kuranda and close proximity to the Davies Creek mountain bike park. This quiet, secure location with a private driveway and views of natural bush is well suited for couples weekend getaways. Access to a private stretch of the Clohesy River is available for the more adventurous!

Lakeside Loft

The Lakeside Loft is the ultimate relaxing getaway. It is a luxury pole home, nestled in the tree tops. It boasts three levels all with breath taking panoramic views of the Lake. The back yard has direct access to the lake for water sports for most of the year. We have a canoe and kayak for guest use. The closest boat ramp is located at Tinaburra which is only a couple of mins away. Yungaburra village is also a couple of mins drive and it is 15 min to Atherton and just over 1hr to Cairns.

Shed 14

Shed 14 is the perfect place for your escape from the rat race. Located in the quiet little town of Walkamin known for it's perfect climate you will have plenty to see and do for a weekend getway or a week long adventure exploring the best that the beautiful Atherton Tablelands has to offer. Perfect for couples or families there is ample space outdoors to enjoy nature or tuck yourself away in luxury. The rail trail is a short ride away with options to ride to Mareeba, Tolga or Atherton.

Pamiro Country Retreat

Escape from the hustle at Pamiro - a private property with 360 degree bushland views, a short walk to a seasonal creek and nestled amongst Australian native wildlife. The home is well appointed with a kitchen designed for those who love to entertain. A double door fridge/freezer, 5 plate induction stove, large oven, & a dining table. There is a q size bed & additional bedding for 2 more guests available. 2 Toilets, 1 Bathroom, TV & lounge, 2 outdoor patios and an undercover carport.

Singing Birds

Unwind in our peaceful self-contained guesthouse, set on 3 acres of tranquil greenery. Wake to the sound of native birdsong, cool off in the pool, and enjoy the chance to spot red-legged pademelons, striped possums and all the other wildlife surrounding the guesthouse. The guesthouse is private, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring Cairns, Kuranda, Mareeba and the Atherton Tablelands. We live in the main house on the property and are happy to assist if needed.

Welcome to “The Cabin”! Luxury bush glamping in a tiny-home inspired by a shipping container. Nestled on 75 acres with a passionfruit vineyard it offers Barron Valley views off-grid privacy & phone reception. Outdoor shower open to the sky & fully enclosed outdoor toilet. Cabin uses bore water. Enjoy watching wallabies kookaburras & native birds. Fire pit under starlit skies. 5 km dirt road 15 min from Mareeba & 2 km from Emerald Creek Falls. True bush living.

Tinaroo Wilderness Retreat is situated on over 2 acres of beautiful bushland next to Lake Tinaroo. The cottage is totally private and backs into a reserve. Only a short stroll to the lake and is surrounded by an abundance of wildlife. 3 minute drive to Black Gully boat ramp, 12 minutes to Atherton mountain bike park, and Mount Baldy walking trail. It has it all — fishing, hiking, mountain biking, water sports.
