A beautiful, historic stone cottage in the heart of the gold fields. simply modernised to maintain an old world ambience and eclectically furnished with family heirloom furniture and special interest collections. It's the way we like it and I'm sure our guests will too. Come for a relaxing weekend, winter or summer, enjoying the surrounding nature and wildlife. Explore Castlemaine and surrounds from The Paddock Ecovillage, perfectly situated on the edge of the bush and the edge of town. Our guest suite very comfortably sleeps four and includes a lounge room, a well-equipped kitchenette and access to a communal full kitchen. Views extend across the ecovillage property to the surrounding bush. The centre of town, including the Castlemaine train station and a fantastic selection of cafes, restaurants and cultural attractions, is just a 15-minute walk.

It's a totally separate and private space, air conditioned, double glazed and with its own off-street parking and access. It is within walking distance to the town centre, The Mill Complex, The Bridge Hotel and the Botanic Gardens; and just a 7 min walk up the hill from the railway station. The property consists of a main cottage & two beautiful sandstone cottages "North" & "South". These two can be let out separately or together. Both cottages have super comfy king size beds & each is unique in character.
