Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Welcome to Aisling Reach! Located on the oceanfront in the peaceful neighbourhood of Gordon Head in Victoria. You can enjoy the stellar views of Haro Strait and San Juan Island, as well as a chance to do some whale watching on your private patio. Our private suite is perfect for a weekend getaway or a longer stay. With our close proximity to the University of Victoria, Mount Douglas, dozens of beaches, and downtown Victoria, you are bound to find something to see and do every day of your visit.

This stand-alone unit includes a king bedroom, single bedroom, three-piece bathroom, fireplace and an open-plan living and dining area. Outside, guests have their own private seating area and BBQ for relaxed outdoor dining. Surrounded by forest, with a seasonal waterfall, nature hikes to our 1 km of coastline. Just 20 mins to Victoria or Mill Bay, close to the Malahat Skywalk, island wineries, and Butchart Gardens via ferry.

Minutes from Hwy 1 in a new home development surrounded by Douglas Firs. Several wineries nearby, Kerry Park, 4 minute drive to Shawnigan Lake & Mill Bay plaza! A perfect place to relax and enjoy all the wonderful offerings of Vancouver Island.

Forest Hideout

Our tiny cabin is located on a 14 acres property in the middle of the woods. You will enjoy complete privacy and use of your own area on the land, including a pond. Located 2 min, from the Transcanada Trail, 20 min. walk to the Kinsol Trestle, a World Heritage Site with beautiful swimming holes right underneath the bridge. 20 min. to next Grocery store and 22-25 min to Duncan. Approx. 50 min- 1 hr to Victoria. Pottery lessons are available by request if you have always wanted to try it out.

Oceanus, 30 min to Victoria, 15 min to Langford

Only 30 min from downtown Victoria, Oceanus offers a relaxing retreat/romantic sanctuary. Featuring a king-size bed, a queen-size pullout sofa, and a crib, this garden suite accommodates up to four adults. Oceanus has a full kitchen, equipped with all you need to prepare delicious meals, including a blender, a mixer, and a BBQ grill. Oceanus also offers a full bathroom, free laundry, parking, and fast internet (PureFibre), a cozy yet roomy space, and a private backyard with gorgeous views.

This 1 bedroom cottage is nestled on the hillside at the water’s edge. As you walk the steps down to the private cottage take in the panoramic ocean views. It has recently been renovated from top to bottom. *Please note that a new house is being built next door, so there may be residential construction noise during the day.
