The Cottage is located in historic East Poultney next to the old Poultney schoolhouse (now historical society). Slate Valley hiking/bike trails surround the area. About 1 mile to the town of Poultney, which has stores, shops, restaurants and a Pub. The sidewalk starts in front of the cottage which leads directly to town. Great for a walk, jog or bike ride. Pico, Killington and Bromley Mountains all less than an hour drive. 3 miles away from Lake St Catherine and under 10 miles to Lake Bomoseen.

The White & Black Cottage is a cozy home within walking distance of downtown Glens Falls. There is a Cumberland Farms and a Stewart’s a block or two away for quick food items. Glens Falls has numerous wonderful restaurants and there is a notebook with many of the menus in the house. There are art galleries, LARAC, The Hyde and the Shirt Factory. Live music and theatre is available at the Wood Theatre, the Park Theatre and Strand Theatre. We are 20 minutes from Lake George and Saratoga.

The "Silk Purse" started life in the 60's as a 10x40 mobile home. Easy vehicle access and fast wifi are great for remote work. 20 minutes to Brattleboro, 30 to Stratton, 25 to Mt. The historic “Smithy" at Consider Bardwell Farm is the original building used for blacksmithing by Consider Bardwell, himself, in the 1800s. Complete with brand-new, architect-designed kitchen and bathroom, wood-burning fireplace, and stone patio for outdoor grilling and dining, the Smithy is beautiful inside and out. Enjoy meeting our goats and all the local goodies and products that we can stock in your cottage.

This charming house is close to the quaint Village of Woodstock, skiing, restaurants and dining, and family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the ambiance, the quality furnishings, air conditioning, the outdoors space, the quiet neighborhood, the comfy beds, and the light. My place is good for couples, business travelers, families (with kids). Sorry, we can no longer welcome pets.
