The Scale House

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The Scale House is located in the heart of wine country. It is across the road from a beautiful Vineyard and within 3 miles of six more vineyards. The night sky is perfect for stargazing. If you are a bike rider, you are in the perfect area. It is located next to an elevator that was used for 50 years before farming changed in the valley. The scales were removed and the house has been remodeled making it feel new and comfortable for a night away.

Branch outdoors and enjoy evening sunset cocktails with friends and family on the back porch. Ideal for couples and small families requiring room and tranquility. It's spacious in and out, airy with lots of windows and light. While it's out of the fray of downtown, it's a short walk, bike ride or drive to all that Marfa has to offer. Gorgeous landscape in all directions.

Only 15 min drive to downtown & the UA. Plenty of wildlife! It’s a perfect spot to unwind after a day in town, or get some time away to paint, write or reconvene with yourself, nature, or the one you love. (* NO HOT TUB has never worked & will NOT be working).

West-side Trailhead Retreat in the Sonoran Desert

2017 guest house in Tucson Mountain foothills adjacent to Sweetwater Preserve (14+ mi.s of trails: mountain biking, horseback, running, & hiking)! Enjoy the giant soaking tub, BBQ grill, sunsets & patio. A full kitchen, sitting area, bath & BR are downstairs (550 sq. ft.). Up a 90-degree ladder to BR/retreat space, wonderful for getaway views. Our property is a 3-acre lot w/ desert flora/fauna, stars, & quietness, yet only 10 mi. from UA. Horses add to the ambiance with a taste of ranch life.

Sunset Ranch is an acre lot at the far southeast corner of Marathon, TX that backs up to the ranch land facing south that provides unobstructed views of sunrises and sunsets from the 700 sf covered porch. Marathon is a quaint west Texas town with a public park, gardens, restaurants and shopping. It also has a level 1 night sky rating for star gazing. Located 40 minutes from Big Bend National Park entrance, this is a launch point to explore the national park and other parks and communities.

Our entire home is available for a wine country getaway. With three bedrooms, two full bathrooms with dual vanities, a half bath, an amazing kitchen, dining, two living spaces, and high-speed Internet, our home is ideal for two or three couples, or a family getaway (crib available for use).

Geronimo had his last meal as a free man in the Cienega Ranch bunkhouse. The Cienega Ranch was homesteaded by our great great grandfather Augustus Chenowth. Experience the working ranch and the flavor of days gone by. Explore the family graveyard where Uncle Bob's arm is buried along with family and assorted outlaws.
