Aboyne Cottage—Peaceful Oasis in Quiet Cul-De-Sac

Pluck lemons from the tree and pick herbs from the planters for use in a tasty dish to enjoy in the cool and shaded courtyard. The bright and airy cottage interior has high vaulted ceilings, together with a selection of books and magazines to read to enjoy in the bed made up with 400TC luxury linen. Battery backed up Wi-Fi and additional lights for surviving load shedding. No smoking allowed on property. Guests have own cottage with a private, shady courtyard. Herbs in planters in courtyard and dart board are available for guests to use as well as lemons on own lemon tree. We're an international family consisting of a South African, a New Zealander and a Norwegian. One of us will always be available on our phones and we're happy to chat and share a G&T on our porch if our guests are up for it! This guesthouse is in a quiet neighbourhood, about 15 minutes by car from town and near to vibrant Harfield. Closer still, the village offers a farm stall, butchery, and supermarket within a short walk, plus coffee shops and lots of restaurants. We always recommend uber for short term stays in Cape Town but there is an off-street sheltered parking available if needs be. 10 minute walk to Kenilworth train station and 2 minute walk from Main Road with frequent taxi buses in both directions. Servicing of cottage and laundry can be done on request. Continental breakfast can be provided on request.

Both bedrooms lead to balconies, the views are spectacular. We are connected to a 24 hour security service that will escort you into the apartment if you are coming home late or alone. The whole apartment is available. Open plan lounge dining kitchen and two en-suite bathrooms, entry area and deck. I am an artist, so my studio (opposite to apartment entry) will be locked as I will use it as a storeroom. Located just a few kilometers west of Cape Town CBD, Fresnaye is one of the city's most affluent neighborhoods. The loft is just a short stroll from high-end Sea Point eateries. Head to Saunders’ Rock Tidal Pool on hot days for a refreshing dip. Unfortunately we only have street parking, but we are 100m from the MyCiti bus stop and we have found that most guests find using Uber, most convenient. If you prefer a personalized tour guide or shuttle service, we can organize that as well. Please note there will be extra outdoor furniture added to deck before your stay. This sunny, private garden flat is separate to the house with it's own entrance and off-street parking. There is an enclosed paved garden with a Webber BBQ. We are close to major highways, a stone's throw away from the Kenilworth Race Course and 2kms away from a vibrant village with restaurants and pubs. You will find a convenience store, hair dresser and coffee shop 200 meters away. For load shedding backup, we have an UPS for the WIFI, a gas cooker and rechargeable light bulbs and light.
