This beautiful house in the seaside resort village of Aghia Marina, located on the Athens Riviera (only 15 min away from the airport) is the single one in a 1,5 acre property. The property, planted with olive trees, and other water self-sufficient plants offers various places for relaxation under the shade. Moreover, the half basketball court (official size) equipped with lights gives the perfect setting for enjoying sports during days and evenings. The house itself underwent a full renovation in 2018. Respect has been paid to original materials and traditional forms at the same time aiming to meet the most demanding needs in terms of comfort and elegance. Property Description The property is located in a flat area ideal for walking and biking to the beach. Arriving in front of the stone fence, you are welcomed by a gated drive with space for at least 4 cars. The surroundings of the drive is planted with various trees such as olive, lemon, pomegranate, almond and pistachio trees which are in season at various times of the year. The house with its’ stone-paved surroundings, is situated at the end of the drive and in the middle of the property, far enough from the nearest road to offer privacy and tranquility. The surrounding areas feature courtyards and barbecue facilities. The courtyard with its stylish white marble dining table promises relaxing moments under the shade of a huge olive tree. The rest of the property is dedicated to sports-lovers and kids of course. A half basketball court (official size) with lights is ideal for evening matches or just kids’ biking around and enjoying the half acre free plot. Facilities for young kids such as a slide and swings make the place a true playground. House Description The living area is an open space full of light with a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. Entertainment, work, relaxation and romantic atmosphere meet here. A desk surface facilitates working on spot, a 43’’inch Smart TV offers connection to your game console, lights create a special atmosphere for dining and relaxing. The living room gives exit to a balcony overlooking the basketball court. This is an ideal spot for early morning relaxation and lazy afternoons. The 2 bedrooms feature queen beds (1,60m) (KING KOIL) with fully equipped wardrobes. The elegant master bedroom with its wonderful morning sunlight offers a private bathroom with a shower. The dreamy second bedroom with its wooden ceiling and its decoration creates a romantic atmosphere and gives exit to a courtyard where a couple can relax in privacy. The main bathroom offers a shower with a built seat and is one step away from the second bedroom. Guests will have access to the areas described and shown in the photos including courtyards, barbecue facilities, basketball court, playground area and of course private parking area. I always try to be discrete to the maximum providing private check-in and making sure that everything is 100% ready upon guests' arrival. Kerameikos and Monastiraki tube station, as well as Thiseio and Petralona train station are all within walking distance. You can also walk to Psirri, Petralona and Gazi where you can enjoy a variety of cafes and restaurants. Many art studios and galleries within easy walk as well as Ermou, the most popular shopping street. Our guest apartment is absolutely brand new, transformed from an old typography workshop to a sophisticated design space. The furniture was created by hand using local and eco-friendly materials or renovated old pieces. There is a King size bed with super comfortable mattress and premium quality pillows, a work desk with a library, a sofa that turns into a double bed and a fully equipped kitchen with a dining table. The large industrial style windows open directly space to the veranda where our guest could enjoy their lunch or relax to the deck chairs with an unrestricted view to a central soothing square In spacious bathroom, you will find a big shower and a storage space with many extra amenities and comfort facilities like washing machine, hairdryer, first aid kit and toweling. The space has high-speed internet and is designed to be accessible for persons with special needs. Every space or supplies in my property are available to use. I allow a flexible arrival time best for my guests and also I m accessible frequently because of living and working in the neighborhood. But I prefer to respect your privacy so I let you know to contact me (sms, mail, phone) if you have any request or concerns. Also there is available a unique guide with various info’s and many tips for the city in order to facilitate you to self-manage your needs and discover the “genius loci” of the place. The apartment lies in the neighborhood of Psiri, one of the oldest districts of Athens around the rock of Acropolis. It’s on a quiet street next to a pedestrian area, with small squares where people gather to eat or shop from artisans or collectors. Walking distance (3-4 minutes) by metro stations of lines Monastiraki (line 1 & 3) and Thissio (line 1). Monastiraki station has a direct connection to the airport and to the Piraeus Port too. Using metro or by car/taxi arrive at the Larisis Train Station to central and northern Greece. Parking using a low-cost card or at private parking to the next block by a daily fee (starting from 5€) Don’t hesitate to ask information about current cultural and social events around the city during your stay.
