Sea View cabin 8min, walk to beach

This is a 1 bedroom cabin with a queen. Duvet and pillows. There is also a pullout sofa bed. It is a place to get away from the hustle and bustle. It is run on gas and solar power. There is no TV or microwave. Leave behind your hair dryer and hair straighteners and enjoy the privacy, peace and view. There is a BBQ available. Linen can be provided for a fee. 1st 2 guests are $100 per night then $10 per head per night after that. We are happy to provide a tent for kids to sleep in out on the lawn.

Welcome to Wharehine Farm Cabin, a cosy off-grid cabin with luxurious touches nestled in the rural community of Wharehine. Surrounded by uninterrupted views of rolling farmland and the coast. Relax watching the endless stars from the outdoor bath or enjoy reading a book and glass of wine snuggled on the couch. Only an hour from Auckland’s north shore, the seven acre property comprises of two separate residences - the farmhouse and the cabin, each with its own separate driveway and amenities.

Tara Valley Cabin

A boutique, sun-drenched and special hideaway set on 5 acres of permaculture tranquility. Your own three private cabins are nestled near 800 year old trees and joined with decks and pathways for you to wander and discover your bath. The bedroom opens out to a covered deck, and the full kitchen has a covered area with a large outdoor dining table and gas BBQ. Up the steps to the bathroom with a fresh, waterless, European electric toilet. Close to nature, beaches, markets, walks, cafes and fun.

This self contained tiny house enjoys a peaceful rural outlook and farm setting. A perfect base for couples or individuals wanting a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Only 90 mins from Auckland, but a world away, in an area boasting some of NZ’s most beautiful beaches. Situated halfway between Te Arai and Mangawhai- a short drive to beaches, cafes, shops, golf courses and wineries. Enjoy an outdoor bath under the stars, and relax and watch the sunset from a bean bag on the deck

Taurikura Peninsula Seaview Private Cabin and Camp

Comfortable, compact (5m x 3m) self-contained cabin for 2, upon a stunning private hilltop overlooking Taurikura Bay, Whangarei Heads. Affordable peace, quiet and privacy is our aim (1 night stays available most days). Grass camping space available (campers #3-8 will need to bring own tent/bed/linen /consumable items and supplies). The parking area is not situated by the cabin so sleeping in vehicles can only be done so at separate ends of the property. Safe ample parking sites available.

Marina Vista Cabin - Quiet Secluded Beach

This is a small cabin suitable for short stays, the bedroom is small but it is compensated by the location, deck, bathroom & beach which are great. Sit on kayaks & stand-up paddle are available free of charge. Tidy comfortable cabin just meters from a lovely private beach & walking distance to cafes, fishing club & pizzeria. No road noise, safe swimming, kayaking or trips to the Poor Knights Islands. BASIC cooking only; BBQ, Fridge, plates, cups, glasses, etc. Great eateries near by.

Nikau Cottage, Te Arai, Northland

A perfect retreat and the perfect stopover to, or from, the Bay of Islands capturing the essence of a New Zealand experience. This is a quintessential basic kiwi bach, absolute waterfront, stunning views, a hidden treasure with bush and beach walks, amazing fishing and diving. Our bach comes complete with everything needed for a beach holiday, weekend retreat or romantic getaway. An easy 10 minute stroll to local cafe or ten minute drive to Parua Bay cafes, 4 square and gas station and the infamous Parua Bay Tavern. Access to the Bach is down a short but moderately steep bush track(see photo).

Once your day of adventuring is through, enjoy tucking into your goodies followed by a great sleep in the loft in a king size bed.

We are only 75mins drive north of Auckland, 10 mins off the number one highway. The cottage is built from beautiful untreated hardwoods set in a tranquil private spot, nestled on the edge of a regenerating native forest. The cottage is only a 2min walk down to the beautiful Kaipara Harbour. Our place is part of a 25 year old 300 acre organic permaculture farm, which we were instrumental in setting up as a working farm and village style subdivision.
