And speaking of hiking, we said “take a hike” to cleaning fees (who likes those?), And check-in/checkout times; ours are so flexible they practically do yoga. Stress-free? Absolutely. This unique custom-built 4,009 sq. ft. lake house is located at the mouth of Lyons Creek and Lake Gaston with direct main lake access in the upscale subdivision of West Winds. The home offers fabulous views, a large flat yard, a fire pit, a sandy beach area, and good water depth at the boathouse. The home is situated on a large point with over 550 feet of waterfront. The outside boasts a large wrap around porch, with a grill, a 12-person outdoor dining area, and comfortable patio furniture.

Lakefront Cottage w/ great view and use of dock

The sunlit cottage is perfect place to enjoy the largest lake in Virginia, exploring nearby state parks, the quaint town of Clarksville, or nearby breweries/wineries. The cottage offers an open view of the lake and use of a dock (150 yds from house) for fishing, swiming, docking watercraft or watching the sunset. A great retreat for a small family of 4 or 2 couples. Please indicate the number of guests; parties over 4 must be pre-approved. Reservation must be by an adult (age 21+).

Hyco Hideaway

A lakeside retreat to call your own (at least for a little while). This two bedroom, one bath scenic cottage sits on approximately 250 feet of waterfront where you have a lake view from the huge screen porch. An open floor plan with fully furnished kitchen, beds, and full bath will make this an exceptional getaway. Nestled deep in the forest, the dock is accessible by a path that is steep in places or staircase plus steep timber steps with no handrail. Water depth at dock is shallow.

The home is set in a quiet neighborhood that allows privacy. There is extra sleeping space with a queen size air mattress and 2 sofas (not sofa beds)..
