Raithal is a small, fairy-like village located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. The cottage is located at 2250msl and has absolutely stunning views of the Himalayas range. The food eaten here is locally grown. Raithal is known for Dayara Bugyal, located at 3408m. It is an 8.5 km scenic trek all the way to the top. The Red House is a beautifully furnished 1 bedroom holiday cottage located in Raithal village in the Uttarakhand. Perched at an elevation of 2250 meters amidst the lush greenery, Raithal village is popular among seasoned trekkers as it's the base camp to Dayara Bugyal. The cottage offers an absolutely breath-taking views of the Himalayan ranges, green meadows and biodiversity (as you can clearly make out from the pictures).The guests need to climb up a hill for 400 m from village centre.

Our homestay is situated above the Harsil market. Reaching there requires a short hike along a narrow path encompassed by tall pine trees. Our home offers a panoramic view of the entire Harsil Valley and the Bhagirathi river. Harsil is 25 km (1 hour) before 'Gangotri', making it the perfect layover spot before you begin your religious pilgrimage to the Gangotri temple. Our homestay is 2 km from Bhagori, a Tibetan colony. It also lies near other trekking routes.
