Only 15/20min drive to all main attractions: Lake Placid, Whiteface, Adirondack Loj and Marcy Dam. A bright and peaceful oasis to unwind from your ADK adventures with a view of the mountains from your bed, the deck, or fire pit. Enjoy a private meadow with access to a natural brook with swimming holes and waterfalls. Queen bed + pullout couch that can sleep 1 adult/2 kids. RELAX!

The rugged primitive siding was harvested from on-site cedar trees; the knotty pine interior was locally sourced. Friends gifted a claw foot tub and historic farmhouse sink. Sunset Cottage is cleaned in compliance with CDC COVID-19 Lodging cleaning standards before you vacation there. Sunset Cottage is only 15 feet from Tupper Lake with a sandy spot for launching canoes/kayaks and a large dock where you can moor your powerboat if you bring one. Dock seating and swimming with a dog friendly stair. Fire pit with firewood on the lawn with Adirondack chairs for your use. Two, kayaks come with the rental. Newly renovated interior with beautiful Adirondack decor.

Walk across the street and bushwack for miles and miles. OK Slip Falls trailhead is less than a mile away. Skiing at Gore Mountain is 10 minutes away. There are endless things to do in the area-fishing, skiing, hiking, multiple museums, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, kayaking and canoeing to start your getaway!

Guests love the sauna, private chef brunch or dinner, espresso maker, stocked kitchen, and everything you need for a campfire under the string lights. Walk to the village and sandy beach on Lake Pleasant (.6 miles). April is a slower month with restaurants and businesses shifting their hours. We will provide each guest with a local guide to let you know what's available. It's a great time to schedule Chef Justin for a Private Chef Brunch or Dinner (or both).
