Our guesthouse was built by my parents, with the idea that it would be similar to the viking houses in the old days : a big open space, divided in three parts. It's nothing too fancy, but all basic necessities are here ! You also have access to two extra bathrooms and showers, and a sauna. The farm has horses, sheep, chicken and dogs roaming around ! The apartment is spacious and comfortable with everythink you might need for your stay. The apartment is located on a farm 7 km from Borgarnes and 80 km from Reykjavik. The farm is 1 km from road nr 1. The view from the apartment and the surrounding area is very beutyfull. We have horses, chickens and dogs on the farm. The horses are very friendly and love attention. This is a very good spot to view the northern lights from late august-april if the sky is clear we can usually see them.

It’s really fun to stay in Hella for a few days and take a day trip to all the main places in the south. It is no problem to see the northern lights on Hella and if you drive 5-10 minutes you get out of all the street lights and manage to enjoy them even more.
