Welcome to Shepherd's Rest, our bespoke shepherd's hut located in the peaceful Hamlet of Foy, 10 minutes from the market town of Ross-on-Wye, in the beautiful Wye Valley. Outside, relax on the spacious private deck and admire the stunning views of the River Wye. Inside, Shepherd's Rest has a comfy double bed, sofa, foldaway dining area, modern en-suite shower room with flushing toilet and a log-burner, perfect for those cold winter's evenings. Tucked away on our peaceful family farm in the Wye Valley, it's perfect for couples wanting to slow down and reconnect. Enjoy sweeping countryside views and your own wood-fired tub under the stars. Take a break and unwind at this peaceful stress-free location, only 4 miles from central Hereford. Honeysuckle Cottage is a very cosy property with two double bedrooms, one single and a bathroom with shower. It is in excellent modern condition with a large airy kitchen and living room. The pretty garden wraps around the cottage on three sides and two levels and runs down to a bubbling brook at its foot (the brook can not be easily accessed from the garden and should pose no danger to children)

We are only 1.5 hours from Birmingham and Bristol airports and 2 3/4 hours drive from London Heathrow.

Garden, parking, shared games room, dogs welcome

Our properties are registered with Visit England and are regularly inspected. Little Canwood House,Checkley, Herefordshire is 5* Gold rated! We do allow a well behaved dog to stay, max2. We make a small charge of £40 per dog per stay(this is on top of the rental which is payable to us directly), we sometimes ask for a Returnable Security deposit. We can provide a stair gate, a high chair, travel cot, shower chair and toilet seat riser. We strongly encourage guests to get travel insurance.

This beautiful cottage was formerly a working Forge for the local estate. It was lovingly restored in 2021 retaining many original features including a log burner, stripped wooden floors and original oak beams. It is located in the small hamlet of Hom Green, 2 miles from Ross-On-Wye which is in the heart of the picturesque Wye Valley. The 136 mile Wye Valley walk passes within a mile of the property which is ideal for you and your dog to explore the hills, limestone gorges and viewpoints.

The Haystore is a self-contained annexe to our listed Barn. It is approached down a country lane through our lovely neighbours' farm. The Haystore has been fully refurbished to provide gorgeous accommodation with direct access onto National Trust parkland and the Wye Valley AONB. Within walking distance is a farm shop, and a little further two award winning pubs. Ross-on-Wye, Symonds Yat and the Black Mountains are a short drive making us an ideal base to explore the wider area.

Field Cottage is a calm country home in a peaceful spot with countryside views from every window, just 10 minutes from Ross-on-Wye — ideal for guests looking to unwind and explore. The main house has four bedrooms, two living areas, dining room and kitchen. Full-size bunk beds suit adults or children. A self-contained annexe adds privacy, with bathroom, shower room, and an upstairs living space with kitchen. Plus a cosy games shed with pool table and fussball game.

Much Marcle Flat with a View

Situated between the Malvern Hills and the Wye Valley, this quaint first floor apartment is a wing of Chandos Manor, which was rebuilt by Lord Chandos in 1554. The flat is approached by an external stone staircase and is fully self contained. The large open plan living kitchen area offers lovely far-reaching countryside views, and comes with two good sized bedrooms and a bathroom. There is access to 36 acres of historic traditional orchards.
