It provides a great home base for travel in the Keweenaw peninsula! As a 1930s cabin with a sauna on the lake along with a great view, the focus is on the experience! We find guests who truly enjoy our place are flexible with rustic conditions (not looking for Holiday Inn Express) and young at heart!

Inside the home large windows provide views of both the lake and the river. Your private beach on Lake Superior is 110 steps away from the back door. The sunrises along with views of the Huron Mountains, sandstone cliffs of Louis Point are a site to see, from the comforts of the home. Snowmobile trail is very close just 9/10's of a mile away.

This 4 bedroom 2 bath home is located next to chutes and ladders located on portage canal next to Houghton beach, Chutes & Ladders, and Houghton public docks. Home is a short walk to Michigan Tech and historic downtown. There are two kayaks and 2 bikes available for you to use and explore the canal or downtown. Spacious, clean and unusual second floor apartment overlooking the Portage Lake Lift Bridge. The apartment has one bedroom, one bath, full kitchen and a deck overlooking the water of Portage Canal. It is on the second floor of Roy’s Pasties and Bakery so you have two restaurants on the property with the second being the Copper Range Depot. Convenient to downtown, trails, water access and all points of the Keweenaw!
