Enjoy peace and quiet along the Conway River. This relaxing getaway is about 1/4 mile off of rte 230. The cottage was an original one-room cabin with a centrally located wood stove/fireplace. It now boasts 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a full kitchen, large windows and a patio/deck with river views. During the fall and winter months, you can see the sunset over the mountains of the National park. It’s a 20 min drive to the Shenandoah National Park entrance and 5 minutes from Early Mountain Vineyard.

The Studio at Dark Run Retreat

Quiet studio on a secluded 5 acres only 3 miles from town. Kick back and relax by the pool in the warmer months, or in the hot tub in the cooler months. Small trails lead to the creek running along the property, maybe you'll even catch a glimpse of the deer or turkey that wander thru...we've even seen a lil bear once! There is an apartment above the studio, so we ask that you be mindful of those guests if occupied. *The studio got a make-over! As of 10/6/20, we will no longer be hosting pets*

Our home is a newly renovated charming cottage nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Virginia Blueridge Mountains. Our home is centrally located near several beloved attractions like Skyline drive, Charlottesville, Massanutten Ski Resort, wineries and antique shops. Guests can enjoy hiking to water falls or to mountain peaks in the Park, then a trip to wineries/breweries in the Monticello district. Guests may enjoy an afternoon cooking out on the grill and relaxing in this secluded cabin in the mountains. On cool nights, the fireplace can provide warmth. The cabin is also about 20 miles from Massanutten Resort, straight along Rt 33.

Your private guest suite is located in Northern Albemarle County Virginia. We cannot allow cats(due to family members with allergies and the extra cleaning required) We are just off of Route 29 with easy access to local venues. The suite is up one flight of stairs. Albemarle County is central to the University of Virginia, Monticello, Montpelier, wineries, craft beer breweries, and wedding venues in the area. Your dogs may run the open areas. Please clean up after your pet.
