Only 3 minutes drive to Hokitika township.

Modern one bdrm, King Bed cottage in gold-mining Stafford. 10-minute drive from Hokitika, cafes and shops in the countryside. King-size bed & king single in one spacious bedroom, there is a separate lounge/diner/kitchen. High-Pressure Gas Shower. The carport contains a washer and drier with a clothesline nearby. Our modern 3 bed house is newly renovated, and a 5 minute walk to the centre of Hokitika where you can find all sorts of treasures, from a range of great cafes and Restaurants, to Pounamu (Greenstone or Jade), a movie theatre, and a range of very stylish shops, with everything from clothes, jewellery, souvenirs, flowers, and hardware. If you walk through town you can stroll right onto the beach, where you can sometimes spot seals, little blue penguins and other wildlife.

The house is uniquely situated in Kaniere, Hokitika - 600 metres to the Wilderness Bike Trail, walking tracks and 5 minutes drive to the township. A private backyard overlooks neighbouring farmland and native birdlife, flaxes and pungas to the north. Enjoy sitting outside and watching the Tui's eating the flax seeds in season.

Sunset Cabin

Our "cool little" cabin is a very small, detached, cozy, private bedroom looking out towards the rugged Tasman Sea. You will enjoy your own private space, comfortable queen bed, beautiful sunsets, beach access, free parking and the convenience of a 3 min beach walk to Hokitika town centre. Bathroom facilities are detached from cabin and shared with the guests in our other cabin. Our place is perfect for couples and solo adventurers.
