Five-minute drive to the Wharf or Blue Waters beaches. Please note that it's not possible to walk to the beach you see from the front deck - there's a lot of scrub and a tidal river in the way!

Historic Places Trust in coastal Maori village

Te Poutapeta is a Historic Places Trust listed building. Up until the 1980s it served as the community Post Office. Our family run it as a B&B or Holiday House. Guests have the entire house at their disposable. We provide continental breakfast. The Post Office is a one minute walk to our long and expansive beach. You’ll love our Poutapeta for its history, spaciousness and comfort. We have attempted to retain its origingal character. It is relaxing and unspoilt. Nau mai, haramai!

Waihau Bay is one of the best fishing destinations in New Zealand, Guests come from all over to catch Tuna and Marlin in the summer season, plus the many other fish species all year round. Clean and comfortable studio cabin with ensuite, come and enjoy the brand new bed. Located opposite the ocean, enjoy drinks on the deck and sleep with the sound of the sea. Just a short stroll to the sandy beach. Plenty of off street parking directly in front of the cabin, heaps of room for a boat.

Nestled in beautiful Onepoto Bay, this newly built bach offers the perfect escape—whether you’re gathering with friends and whānau or enjoying a peaceful solo getaway. Fire up the BBQ and sink into a bean bag on the deck. The beach is only a 1–2 minute stroll and often feels like your own private paradise. With safe swimming for the kids, fantastic fishing, surfing, boating, diving, and even a nearby glowworm walk.

Pakihi Valley Retreat - Cabin & Campsite - Opotiki

This cabin is located on a private elevated site with rural views and the stunning Otara River below. 30 minutes to Opotiki. Set on 47 acres of native bush and backing onto DOC land, mainly of steep incline. The cabin is tidy, comfortable, clean and affords modern comforts and conveniences while guests experience nature at its best.

Tokomaru Beach

Our place is newly built, behind a historic building, only metres from the beautiful Tokomaru Bay Beach. The facilities are all modern, with heat pump/air conditioning, acomodating 4 people with style, comfort and ease. One queen bed is in the lounge as a pull down/retractable and the second in a separate bedroom. Shower and toilet is an ensuite shared by all guests but accessed through the bedroom.

Nestled halfway between Te Kaha and Waihau Bay, step into the Picturesque Whanarua Bay. Wake to the morning birdsong, the calming sounds of the ocean, and the natural beauty our Bay has to offer. Breathe in the fresh air, relax and recharge in our peaceful cosy home.

Come and enjoy the scenery! This brand-new off grid home is positioned due North, overlooking the horse paddocks. Take a walk up the back of the property for valley views amongst the olive trees and a glimpse of the Tolaga Bay Wharf in the distance.
