The Country Retreat at the historic Schmitz Family Farm is close to many attractions, ideal for couples, families, girls' weekends, extended stays, business travel, and is dog friendly. Enjoy a sunrise or sunset, get cozy at the fireplace, or indulge in the many activities our area has to offer. We feature two beautiful bedrooms, living room with two sleeper sofas (can also be used as a third bedroom, as door closes for privacy), laundry room, full kitchen, coffee nook, quiet deck and backyard.

YurtCation

YurtCation is an off-grid getaway with lake frontage and nature trails. There is another yurt about 300ft up the same driveway. There are a total of two yurts and two homes that have access to the same 17 acre lake. Each yurt has their own queen-sized comfy bed, wood stove, Weber grill w/charcoal, fire pit, firewood, fresh water, canoe, and clean Porto Potty. The yurts are about 80 feet from the lake’s ordinary high water mark to comply with zoning. We are fully permitted and have many repeats.

Wooded CABIN-Sunset & Lake Views/Kayak to Tiki Bar

Slow down at Fraser Fir log cabin, built in 1958 on Kettle Moraine Lake. In the summer, enjoy quiet moments watching the sun set from the front porch, then relax by the fire pit under a sky full of stars. Fish from the dock, kayak around the lake, or bring your boat to soak up the sun. In the winter, grab your ice-skates or ice-fishing gear and head out on the lake. With countless trails nearby, the hiking options are limitless and beautiful in every season. Your next adventure awaits.

Close to the highway, it’s also a mere half an hour to anything Milwaukee so games, museums, festivals are all also at your fingertips. At the end of dead end road with views of the river, access to trails, and a secluded deck and fire pit, there is definitely also a rural feel. This location has it all. Go out, live life, come back, exhale and rest.

Cozy cottage in the heart of Lake Country

Entire cottage in the heart of Lake Country. Merryhill Cottage is nestled on two acres with mature trees. Included on the two acres- the host's farmhouse, a guest house and barn. The feeling of a country setting but with easy access to Hwys 16, 83 and I 94. Close to shopping, restaurants, parks, hiking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing, lakes, and beaches (10 min. to Delafield and Oconomowoc and 15 min. to Pewaukee.) Perfect for day trips to Madison (54 min.) and Milwaukee (30 min.).

The Loft at the Butler Place is a beautiful, quiet retreat set in the rural suburb of Sussex, just 30 minutes west of Milwaukee. The home is the 1846 homestead of the William Butler family, making the home older than the State of Wisconsin! The 2019 remodel of the Loft is in sophisticated farmhouse style and pays tribute to the history of the home in its furnishings, up cycled pieces, and beautiful setting. "Broken becomes blessed" both tells and compells as an invitation to all.

You'll love staying in our unique home, in a quiet neighborhood. This is a recently remodeled 1867 church converted to a "Chouse". Featuring 2 bedrooms, Full Kitchen, 1 Bathroom, Balcony, Parking, and a Gazebo.. all beautifully complimented by a range of antiques and decorations. 8 Miles East of Hwy 41, a 45 min drive to Oshkosh or an hour to Milwaukee. Just down the from Lake Bernice & Eisenbahn Bike Trail. Also close enough to the Kettle Moraine Forest to hike and sightsee!

Garden Retreat in law Suite

Welcome to our in-law suite apartment featuring a full eat-in kitchen, living room, queen bed in large bedroom, walk in closet and full bathroom with walk-in shower. Our beautiful two acre yard has many areas to relax in, including a hammock and fire pit for the evenings. Twenty mins. to Erin Hills and Holy Hill and a half hour to most downtown Milwaukee attractions, as well as the RNC activities taking place this summer. Lots of city tips and suggestions for our guests.

Pine Shore Retreat is a charming cottage so close to the lake that you feel like you are in a houseboat! The east side location means you have fabulous sunset views, as well as swimmable, hard bottom frontage off the platform pier. It is a small space, just one bedroom, but very cozy. Comfort is the focus, with new, high-end furnishings. The stainless steel refrigerator, granite countertops and a gas range in the kitchen offer a higher end experience.

With 10-11’ ceilings and 1000 sf, this sunny apartment is the second floor of an 1860’s log cabin. Completely updated with new floors, paint, fixtures and more, it’s a perfect retreat from the city. Explore the adjoining 500 acres of state forest, with public lake and boat launch across the street for fishing and paddling. The adjacent trail leads right the Parnell Segment of the Ice Age trail and Mauthe Lake State Park.
